Young RBs to Target in Dynasty

Here's a list of young RBs that may have slid under the radar in the dynasty community that are Buy Low Candidates.

Anthony McFarland

Age: 22.4

College: Maryland

Year: Rookie

40: 4.44

College YPC: 5.4

Future Outlook: James Conner is on the last year of his four year contract. If he doesn't re-sign, then McFarland and Snell will be splitting carries. With his lack of playing time this season, you should be able to trade for him at a discounted price. But if Conner leaves, McFarland's price will rise significantly. Buy him now.

Rodney Smith

Age: 24.9

College: Minnesota

Year: Rookie

40: 4.41

College YPC: 5.0

Future Outlook: Mike Davis is entering free agency in 2021. The CMC handcuff might be up for grabs this offseason. My bet is on this explosive, undrafted free agent out of Minnesota. His 6-year college career does make him an older candidate to stash on your taxi squad. However, his maturity might work to his advantage as he works toward that backup role.

Dexter Williams

Age: 24

College: Notre Dame

Year: 2

40: 4.57

College YPC: 6.3

Future Outlook: Aaron Jones AND Jamaal Williams are both on the last year of their 4th year contract. If one or both of these guys don't re-sign, then Dexter Williams will climb up the depth chart in a hurry. He's worth an offseason stash away, since you should be able to grab him off waivers for no cost at all.

Ty Johnson

Age: 23.3

College: Maryland

Year: 2

40: 4.45

2020 YPC: 4.1

Future Outlook: Getting valuable playing time last year with the Lions and this year with the Jets, he's proven to coaches that he deserves to be on the field. The Jets are finally moving on from Gase, which should open up this offense tremendously. Ty Johnson might even enter 2021 as the Jets starting RB. He's definitely worth trading for.

Justice Hill

Age: 23.2

College: Oklahoma State

Year: 2

40: 4.4

2020 YPC: 3.7

Future Outlook: Next year will be Mark Ingram's last year of his contract, as he approaches 32 years of age, and Gus Edwards is entering this offseason as a restricted free agent. The Ravens have lead the league in "run plays per game" back to back seasons now. We also know that they love to rotate RBs. It's very possible that we see a 60/30/10 split next season from Dobbins, Hill, Ingram, respectively.
