Daily Fantasy - Wild Card Weekend

This is the lineup I'm using for a 50/50 tournament on FanDuel.

I'm designing my lineup predominately based on game-script and expected volume from each player.

I'm also taking a couple very low-cost/low-floor players, so that I can spend big on high-floor/unlimited ceiling players like Alvin Kamara and A.J. Brown.

QB: Ryan Tannehill - $8,200

With Baltimore loading the box to stop Henry, Tannehill and A.J. Brown will benefit in this shootout. Vegas has this listed as the HIGHEST scoring game this weekend at a 54.5 O/U. As the 3rd highest priced QB, I believe he's worth the value.

RB: Alvin Kamara - $9,000

The entire Saints' offense runs through Kamara. All of his short routes will be even more open now that Michael Thomas is back to stretch the field. As the best receiving back in the league, he's worth the price. I wouldn't be surprised if he scores four TDs.

RB: Cam Akers - $6,100

With Henderson injured, this is officially Akers' backfield. Last week, he totaled 21 carries with a season high 4 targets. This is a low-cost/high-volume play with an unlimited ceiling.

WR: Diontae Johnson - $7,000

I might as well pick a guy who averages over 7 receptions a game from his QB. 7 catches for 70 yards is such a great floor for a WR, so feel confident firing up DJ in any DFS format this weekend. I'm expecting Big Ben to throw for three TDs, and at least one of them should go to Johnson.

WR: A.J. Brown - $8,400

I always like to stack a QB/WR combo in DFS. A.J. Brown absolutely balled out last week, and honestly, I expect similar numbers this weekend! The reason I'm paying so low for Isaiah McKenzie is so I can afford both Kamara and Brown. In 50/50 tournaments, all you need to do is finish in the top half. Kamara and A.J. Brown should guide me to the top half without hesitation.

WR: Isaiah McKenzie - $4,900

If Cole Beasley doesn't play, then this the ultimate steal at this price. When Beasley didn't play last weekend, we all saw what McKenzie did when he stepped into the Slot role. If Beasley does play, I still like McKenzie to put up decent numbers in a blowout victory. If the Bills are up big in the 2nd half, I can see them resting Diggs and Beasley, who are both coming into this game listed as questionable anyways.

TE: Jared Cook - $5,900

Just like I said with Kamara - Michael Thomas opens up this offense. As we've seen this season, Drew Brees has a hard time throwing the ball deep. TEs and RBs make the most sense with a QB who feels more comfortable throwing short routes.

Flex: Tyler Lockett - $6,800

All Pro Corner Jalen Ramsey will be lined up across D.K. Metcalf frequently on Saturday afternoon. I believe that Russ will continue to look Lockett's way, just like last week when he posted a 12/90/2 stat line against the Niners.

Defense: Seahawks - $3,600

This seems unfair. The Rams/Seahawks game is listed by Vegas as the lowest O/U at 42. *Side Note - I still like the volume play with Akers and Lockett, even if they don't score multiple TDs.*

The Seahawks defense is the second cheapest option, but I believe that they'll be a TOP 3 defense this weekend. With Jamal Adams playing and the Rams QB situation questionable, this just seems like a no-brainer.
