The perfect workout to do anytime, anywhere, with no equipment required. And it's festive, too!
This workout is based off the premise of the classic holiday song "The 12 Days of Christmas".
As you may recall:
"On the first day of Christmas my true love sent to me: A Partridge in a Pear Tree
On the second day of Christmas my true love sent to me: Two Turtle Doves and a Partridge in a Pear Tree
On the third day of Christmas my true love sent to me: Three French Hens Two Turtle Doves and a Partridge in a Pear Tree"
As for the Workout
This whole workout is comprised of body weight exercises that you can perform in your own home prior to OR after your Christmas feast.
The workout is:
1 Walk Out
2 Side Lunge (each side)
3 Windmill (each side)
4 Single Leg Side Jump (each side)
5 Squat Jumps
6 Jumping Jacks
7 Single Leg Glute Bridge (each side)
8 Dead Bug (each)
9 Prone Leg Swings (each)
10 Sit Thru (5 each)
11 Scapula Push Ups
12 Push Ups
Now Put it Together
To start the workout, you'll do 1 Walk Out.
Then you'll do 2 Side Lunges followed by 1 Walk Out.
Then you'll perform 3 Windmills, 2 Side Lunges and 1 Walk Out.
On your next set, you'll do 4 Single Leg Side Jumps, then 3 Windmills, then 2 Side Lunges and finish with 1 Walk Out.
Continue this pattern (just like the lyrics to the song) until you reach 12 Push Ups and work your way back through every exercise.
